Blog Post #5- Challenge 1-Introduce Myself.
Hello. My name is Tara. I live with my family in Oregon. I’m the oldest in the family. My family and I loved to play video games, but my mother’s friend got our PS2 and never bring it back saying that it was hers’ not my mothers’. I always hide in my bedroom because of the disability I have when I was born with.
My two sisters and I share the same bedrooms. My two sisters share same bunk beds and I have a single bed. I love to listen music when I’m alone and go to sleep. I always turn off my radio so the electricity bill won’t go up. My two brothers have a bedroom, but it always smelly in there. I always get used of the smell in there. My cat, Noname`, loves to sleep with us in the bedroom.
I love to play computer games and watch favorite movies over and over again. My favorite movie is The Extraordinary Gentlemen. I sometimes read books. I always get books in the garage. I go to the mall by myself or with a family member.
I’m so shy around guys and other people that I do not know them. I play girls lacrosse at my high school. I’m a senior at Thurston High School. I’ve made new friends during elementary through high school. I know my friends since elementary or middle school.
I have video games that I want to play. My PSP have no LCD screen. I only have left is my gameboy advance sp. I always help my family on games that they are confused or needed help defeating bosses in the game I’ve played before. I always beat the game before they do.
I’m little nerdy on games that I’ve played or known. I have strategy guide book for the video games that I’m playing. My little brothers play games too. One of them play GTA any series of it and another one plays like Halo, the nazi zombies, and etc. I love RPG. Like for instant: Final Fantasies, Spyro, BraveStory: The New Traveler, and Pokemon series on GBA.
Post #4- Slice of Life Writing.
It was long cold winter. My cat ears and the tail were so wet. My life was so miserable. I was walking alone in the dark forest with the cloak over me. I saw a shadow moving in the dark forest. My eyesight was keen to known that I was followed. So, I was in high alert. My cat ears was twitching and hearing noises very far away. I looked back and saw pack of wolves. I started to run away from the wolves. One of the wolves bit my ankle and I fell face down. I was in pain. The other pack were surrounding me. I was in trouble. My ankle was still held on by the wolf. Out of nowhere, a shadow figure came out of the darkness and fought the wolves. The shadow figure was taller than me. I fainted due to the pain. The shadow figure picked me up and carried me to the mansion.
On my regular basis I always carry is my cellphone, gameboy advance SP, PSP and computers. I used these specific ways. I always text and call my friends and family. I always play my GBA SP when I get bored, listening my music on the PSP, and always chat people online on the computer. Everytime we get new technology such as PS2 and Xbox. I learn from my family, friends, and instructions. It was hard. I always need help on what type of games we are playing. Sometimes, it was funny that the technologies always have glitches. The annoying part of the technology was freezing up all the time. When I was young, I played games on the ninetendo, SEGA, and PS1. Well, my brother, his friends, my mom, my two uncles, and I are the tecnology geeks or nerds. Well, the relationship of the technology is always good or bad depends on what type they are working or their mood. I am somewhere in the middle. The technology devices I have is cellphone, GBA SP and PSP. My technology wish list is a new PSP, a labtop, nintendo ds, and new cellphone.
Post #3-The Impact of the Recession on Teens
Yes, the recession has affected my family and I. It will get better until everything will be right on the trail. We should be prepared of what will to us if the economy will get worse. Well, I haven’t actually heard any stories of goodwill, but hope will be found during the economy. I think that the President Obama will work so hard to get the economy working and so the people in the US will stress out.
When I was five yrs. old, which I look like ten yrs. old in the pictured, I was in the hospital during Christmas break. It all started probably at night when I was not feeling well. My mom and my grandma took me to the hospital. The doctors did some tests and found out that I have pneumonia. So, they put all the medical equipment on me like oxygen mask, an ivy on my hand to take shots, and heart equipment. There were two nurses or doctors wearing weird white masks on their face. They have clipboards with them. It was scary for a five yr. old with autism. During Christmas break, I had a weird nightmare that Barney was in it. I said almost loud, “No, no, no!” I woke up tired and that my tray have breakfast. I have bowl of cereal with butter toast and orange juice and box of cereal. One time, a nurse said to me, “You need a sponge bath to get rid of the gunk off your back.” Then the old nurse came in and switch trash bag. It smelled so bad. It smells like rotten potatoes. When Christmas was coming, my room have a little Christmas tree and a dress up snow lady came in and took picture of me and her. I almost cried and got little scared. The nurse asked me, “Would you help me to hand out toys to other kids?” I nodded and helped the nurse out. Christmas came and got a NASCAR small banner and a teddy bear. My mom gave me her state id to call home. I called home and missed everybody. I accidentally called the store and thank goodness it was closed. It said, “Welcome to Tree shop and we are closed today.” I immediately hang up. After a few days, I started to feel well. I talked to the nurses and said, “I can breathe my own air.” So, I called my mom and told her to pick me up to take me home. Well, its been 12 yrs. since I survived that illness in Christmas break.
